A joint venture was formed with Toyota Tsusho Corporation to create Chiem Patana Synthetic Fibers Co., Ltd. (CPSF) producing 130 tons of polyester goods daily. The plant was built on a 71 acre site in Photharam, Ratchaburi Province, Thailand.
With continuous success in yarn spinning, we expanded our yarn spinning capacity to 193,892 spindles. In addition, we also expanded our weaving capacity to 1,000 shuttle looms and 416 air-jet looms. This colossal 91 acre expansion is located next to our polyester plant.
Yarn spinning capacity was added to both Sampran and Photharam. Company-wide capacity totaled at 275,424 spindles, making us the largest yarn spinning factory in Thailand.
2400 rotors of open-end yarn machines were added to create a new line in our yarn production business.
Because of our expansion to various textiles products, Chiem Patana Knitting Co., Ltd. was renamed to Chiem Patana Textiles Co., Ltd.
25,000 spindles were added to Photharam production facility. Total spindles of the group reached 300,000.
2011 was the year of volatility in raw cotton price. Being a financially independent company, we were able to weather the storm and became stronger after volatility passed.
With the growing demand for our woven fabric, we ordered 180 set of TOYOTA JAT810, the latest air-jet weaving machine.
